Introduction to PLC's and Ladder Logic

This course is designed to give the student a strong understanding of Basic Ladder Logic with an introductory understanding of troubleshooting, PLC hardware and programming.

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Explain the operation of relay ladder logic.

  • Understand the difference between relay ladder logic and PLC ladder logic.

  • Understand the operation of a PLC and its logic.

  • Understand simple troubleshooting concepts of a PLC based system.

GE Fanuc Series 90-30

This course is designed to give the student an understanding of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30.  This course, however, does not teach advanced programming or system networking.

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Explain the components of a GE Fanuc 90-30 PLC.

  • Understand the purpose of the LED indicators.

  • Understand and demonstrate the configuration of the Series 90-30 PLC.

  • Understand troubleshooting PLCs using the LED's and Logicmaster Software.

  • Write simple programs for the Series 90-30 PLC including timers and counters.

GE Fanuc Series 90-70

This course is designed to give the student an understanding of the GE Fanuc Series 90-70.  This course, however, does not teach advanced programming or system networking.

  • Understand and demonstrate the configuration of the Genius I/O.

  • Understand and demonstrate the troubleshooting techniques of  the Genius I/O.

Human Machine Interface Course Description

Introduction to GE Fanuc CIMPLICITY HMI for Windows NT and Windows 95

 

This course is designed to give the student an understanding of CIMPLICITY HMI software.  A model project is developed to show how to apply CIMPLICITY's powerful tools to develop easy-to-use graphical user interfaces.  Classroom exercises lead participants from project creation, through project configuration and graphic editing, and on to logging, alarming, trending, and networking.  By working through the exercises, students will master the skills required to create "real world" human machine interfaces.

 

This course does not teach advanced programming and system networking.

 

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Explain the components of the CIMPLICITY software.

  • Understand how to develop simple applications.

  • Understand and demonstrate the configuration of CIMPLICITY software.

  • Write simple programs with CIMPLICITY software for Windows NT/95.

OSHA 10-Hour General Industrial Safety & Health Training Course

The intent of this course is to present OSHA and its organization to your employees.

The course introduces you to some Safety and Health Programs OSHA offers for continuing your safety objectives in your place of employment.

The class covers eight (8) of the most common safety topics for citation from OSHA.

With the completion of the ten-(10) hour OSHA approved course, each employee receives an official OSHA 10-Hour Occupational Safety and Health "General Industrial Safety and Health" completion card.
